US Consumer Sentiment Index

This is an indication of consumer expectations of the overall US economy derived from a national monthly survey of 500 families done by the University of Michigan. Often monitored along with U.S. unemployment rates, consumer sentiment usually rises as unemployment drops but the metrics are not directly linked. Consumer sentiment was 76.90 on February 01, 2024.
