Consumer Price Index (CPI)

This index is delivered monthly by the US Bureau of Labor Statistics. It is a measure of the price of goods and services that most represent consumers. It’s represented as a percentage of change on a monthly or annual basis. There are some challenges to its ultimate accuracy but it’s good as a general indicator of inflation at the consumer level. The CPI was 312.23 as of March 01, 2024.
